Laser Skin Genesis:

Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis skin rejuvenation is a noninvasive laser technology designed to target the deeper layers of the skin where collagen is produced. The result is new collagen production, noticeably improved skin tone, tighter pores, and an overall improvement in skin's texture. The treatment itself is very quick, comfortable, and relaxing, and can be safely performed virtually anywhere on the body.

You can expect to see consistent results after each treatment with genesis, and four to six treatments are generally required to notice more significant changes. Watch the video below or read on to learn about how laser genesis can change your skin forever.

What conditions can be treated with Laser genesis?

Laser Genesis reduces wrinkles giving your skin a more youthful appearance. It treats enlarged pores, broken capillaries, and unsightly acne scars. It also treat diffuse redness commonly associated with rosasea. Your skin will ultimately feel softer and smoother as a result of each treatment.

What is diffuse redness?

Diffuse redness is generally caused by dilated capillaries, resulting in the appearance of general redness, commonly in the nose, forehead and cheeks. Diffuse redness is often associated with a condition called Rosacea, which can also be hereditary.

What areas can be treated with Genesis?

Laser Genesis has shown excellent results all over the face and neck. Additional body areas can also be treated to diminish recent scarring or discoloration.

What does the treatment feel like?

Most people describe the treatment as relaxing and very comfortable. You will experience a subtle warming of your skin's surface during the procedure. You may experience a slight reddening right after the procedure that will fade quickly, typically in a few hours. You can resume all normal activities immediately after treatment.

How does Laser Skin Genesis work?

The laser energy ultimately stimulates collagen production, which works to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and acne scars, and even out your overall skin tone. Additionally, the heat from the laser treats the tiny superficial blood vessels responsible for diffuse redness.

What results can I expect with Laser Genesis?

Laser Genesis is more effective than microdermabrasion in treating similar skin types and conditions. You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results, overall skin tightening, a noticeable reduction in pore size, a more youthful glow and texture, and a more even skin tone. Four to six treatments, spaced 2-3 weeks apart, are generally needed to notice more dramatic results.

Do I need to prepare before treatment?

No topical anaesthetics or cream are needed before treatment. You will simply be asked to remove any makeup or moisturizers before treatment, and in some cases the treated area may need to be shaved.

What is special about our laser?

Cutera's most advanced technology with the most flexible parameters allows us to treat a variety of veins and other pigment lesions anywhere on the body. Safe for dark, light, or tanned skin, your treatment is personalized by trained and experienced professionals to best treat your condition.

How does the procedure work?

The laser delivers pulses of light energy into the vein causing the blood to coagulate and eventually destroying the vessel. Blood flow is then redirected to veins deeper below your skin's surface, where it should be, and your body reabsorbs the dead vessel.

How many treatments will I need?

Most of the time, one or two treatments are sufficient for desired results. However this largerly depends on the number, color, and size of the vessels being treated. Your provider will be your ultimate guide in determining the best course of treatment for your specific condition.

What types of conditions can be treated?

Our laser can remove unsightly veins anywhere on the body. This includes small, facial veins, spider veins, and larger blue leg veins. Varicose veins are not good candidates for laser treatment.

Blood blisters or "hemangiomas", and other vascular lesions are also great candidates for laser treatment. Results are often seen after just one session

Do the treatments hurt?

Most patients do experience a tingling sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. Although no topical anaesthetic is typically required, we do have it available. You may experience a slight tenderness in the area following treatment, but should resolve within a day.

What happens after treatment?

Following treatment, some redness or bruising may occur. When larger veins are treated, a tan or brownish pigment may persist for a few weeks following treatment.

What are the possible side effects?

Although most people report few if any side effects, some people experience slight reddening or tenderness in the area for up to 24 hours. Some may experience bruising and in rare instances, blistering may occur. Your provider will ultimately guide you through the risks and benefits of each treatment.

Is there any downtime after treatment?

Most people can generally resume normal activities right after treatment. However, it is recommended to avoid strenuous physical activity for the first 24 hours after treatment. As after any laser treatment, it is also recommended to limit direct sun exposure and always wear sunscreen over the treated area.

How long does it take to notice results?

Most people find the majority of their veins to show significant improvement within 2 to 6 weeks after treatment. However, especially for more severe conditions, your results may not be apparent for several months. Over time, it is also possible for new veins to appear, which could require additional treatment.

What happens after treatment?

Following treatment, some redness or bruising may occur. When larger veins are treated, a tan or brownish pigment may persist for a few weeks following treatment.

Toenail Fungus

Toenail Fungus:

Toenail fungus causes an unsightly yellowing or whitening of the toenail and makes the toenail brittle, thick, and misshapen. Traditional medicine has relied on prescription medications to treat this condition. Oral medications have many side effects including liver damage, and topical treatments are less effective, so patients often choose to forgo treatment.

Now there is another option, and patients no longer have to feel self-conscious of their toes again. Laser Genesis is the perfect solution to this problem, and there are no side effects. Typically patients only need 2-3 treatments to eliminate the fungus, and many patients notice results after the first treatment.

What is nail fungus?

Nail fungus, also called onychomycosis, is a common condition estimated to affect up to 10% of the population. It causes nails to become yellow or discolored, and as the infection develops, it can cause the nail to become thick, brittle, and displaced. Some people experience pain when wearing shoes.

Where do nail infections come from?

Dermatophytes are the most common fungi responsible for nail fungus. Everyone is at risk for infection because fungus is present everywhere in the environment. Nail fungus usually begins after some trauma to the nail but can spread if left untreated. Tight fitting shoes, poor hygiene, and increasing age are also risk factors increasing the chance of developing nail fungus.

What are the symptoms of nail fungus?

You may suffer from nail fungus if you have one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Discolored nails
  • yellow or white streaks underneath the nail
  • distorted or ragged looking nails
  • nails displaced from the underlying skin
  • build up of debris underneath the nail

How does the procedure work?

Your provider will pass the beam over the infected nails and surrounding skin several times until enough energy has reached the nail bed to effectively kill the fungi. Your nail will feel warm during the procedure.

How long does each treatment take?

A single treatment sessions takes approximately 10-20 minutes for each set of nails. Treatment times can vary depending on the severity of the condition.

How many sessions will I need?

Most see noticeable results after just the first session. The recommended number of treatments will vary depending on the development of the fungus. At least one follow-up treatment is often recommended after 6-8 weeks to treat any remaining spores that may have bloomed.

How long until I notice the results?

The laser effectively kills the fungi. However, it takes an average of 6-12 months for the nail to grow out the infected area and look healthy again, depending on the size of the infection.

Does the procedure hurt?

Most clients report the procedure as very comfortable. On occasion, you may experience a warm, pinching sensation that resolves very quickly.

Is there any downtime after the procedure?

This is a noninvasive procedure and you should be able to resume normal activities immediately after treatment. Your toes may feel warm for a few minutes.

What treatment options are available?

Traditional medicine has relied on prescription medications to treat this condition. Oral medications have many side effects including liver damage, and topical treatments are less effective, so patients often choose to forgo treatment. Laser genesis offers an attractive alternative.
